Meeting in Jacksonville

The FCCUG meets occasionally at the Southwest Regional Library. Watch this site for scheduled events.

Meeting in Second Life®

Second Life accounts and software are free.

1. Click here to determine if your PC meets the system requirements.

2. If your PC meets the system requirements, click here to register.

3. When you complete the enrollment process, Second Life sends you an email message to confirm your information. While you wait, click here to download and install the Second Life viewer (client software). In addtion, click here to download and install Apple’s QuickTime player (if you don’t already have it).

4. When you receive the email message from Second Life, complete the confirmation process, and then log on using the Second Life viewer.

5. Initially, your avatar is placed on Orientation Island. Take as much time as you need to become familiar with the environment.

6. When you arrive in Second Life proper, use the Map or click here to teleport to the auditorium at Gourdneck 135/153/133.

7. To join the group, use the Search window to locate FCCUG. In the General window, click Join (L$0).

8. To contact the group manager, click Communicate. In the Communicate window, click Tommy Aichi in the Friends list, and then click IM/Call.
